Pre-Installation Survey

Important: This survey should only be completed after you have received confirmation of your Xorbars installation date.

The following information helps us prepare for your installation and make sure we have everything we need before arriving at your property.

It takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.

A Site Video is Required

In order to carry out your installation we require a video of the 'walk between where our installer will park and the area of where the gym will go'. Please send this ASAP via What's App (07887772524) or Email (office@xorbars.co.uk) to avoid any unforeseen problems.

Your Movements on the Day of the Installation

You will be give an INSTALLATON WEEK when your installation will take place. The actual day(s) will be confirmed the week before as it is weather dependent. Please give us as much information about your general schedule should an earlier date become available.

Q3: I understand that if the forecast is for heavy rain then the installation COULD be postponed. 7-10 days maximum.

Accessing the Installation Area:

Q1:Where will we park our van?. IMPORTANT We can sometimes park in the street but we must see a video first. (You are responsible for providing a permit if required):

Q2: What is the approximate walking distance from where our van is parked to the installation location? Please walk the route as it helps us to judge how long the installation will take:(Note: if further than 60 paces there maybe additional charges)

Q3: We will move an obstructions PRIOR to arrival. i.e bins, furniture, children's toys, clothes lines etc.

Q4: How will we access the area where the gym will be installed from where the van is parked? (Note: We CANNOT go through your house)

Q5: Will a wheelbarrow EASILY get from the van to the installation site?
(An additional charge may apply for difficult access).

The Installation Area

Q1: What surface will the product be installed in/on?:*You maybe required to roll back Fake Grass and refit after installation.

About The Installation

Q1: For each hole we will remove approximately 1 x wheelbarrow of SOIL. Please tell us where you would like us to put it!:IMPORTANT Please note that we CANNOT put the soil into lots of small bags. Similar to a builder we unfortunately cannot take soil away.

Q2: I understand that whilst due care an attention is taken during the installation, the grass/area could suffer some damage:

Q3: I understand that wood is a natural product and splitting (can be the full length of the post and 10mm+ in width) will occur during hot spells but that it will not affect the structural integrity of the gym. Read More

Q4:I am keen to get using my new gym, but I understand that we cannot use the pull up bars for 72 hours after the installer leaves the site:

Q5: I understand that WHILST the wood is pre-treated and includes postsavers (prevents rot at the bottom of the post), it is still advisable to treat the wood periodically with preservative (any oil based wood preservative, stain or wood protection).

Who is Using the Gym

Q1: I understand that as standard the MAXIMUM height of any Pull Up Bar OR monkey bar is 2.35 meters from the ground?: *All bars can be positioned lower than this if required. Final heights will be discussed on the day with your installer.(Note: sloped ground will reduce this height)

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Yes, unfortunately just like Ryan Air there are a few extras. We do try our best to include everything in the price shown on the website, but somethings are not always needed for every customer.

Sanding & Oiling:The posts are rough sawn as standard as the equipment is for adult use. They are treated posts. We recommend sanding the edges if children are using the products OR if you would like the posts to have a smooth finish. After sanding we apply an OIL based preserver/stain to add further protection and add to the aesthetics. This is charged at £11 per post payable on the day of installation. For platform products this is charged at £5 per post. Would you like the posts sanded and oiled/stained?:

Ladder Bars on the Side of the Monkey BarsYou may have already purchased these with your monkey bars. These are for children to reach and climb up to the monkey bars. For children 6 to 10 we recommend 4 ladder bars.

Made to measure ropesWe can have ropes (really high quality)handmade in Norfolk delivered to you after installation. If you would like one please let us know and we will measure up on the day. They cost £90.
